2008 STUDENT EVENT CALENDAR

As we look ahead at 2008, we wanted to let you know of some of the upcoming dates and events for students at CVPA. Please don't become alarmed if these dates seem overwhelming to you. Remember your participation is purely optional. We would like to give the students as many opportunities as possible to expose and showcase themselves in dance. Many of our groups will be performing at several of the competitions listed below. We feel that competition can be a healthy experience for the students if it is approached in a constructive manner. Some students enjoy competition and find it to be a motivating factor in their studies. HOWEVER, competition is a minute aspect of the actual dance world and we do not wish for our students to become so overwhelmed in competition that we lose sight of what is really important—a strong technical foundation.

PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR PARTICIPATION IS PURELY OPTIONAL. If you have any questions regarding any dates, please feel free to give us a call. We are looking forward to 2008 and hope that it will be an exciting and productive year for all of our students.
